Les Mémoires
Eligio A. Cardona (Junior)

I just had moved from Puerto Rico to the Dayton area to work at WPAFB (he worked in the same area As me)... Jim and Donna were the first to welcome me to the area and I have fond memories of him and Donna helping me and my wife get used to the area... I will never forget the warmth and how they made feel at home eventhough I was thousands and thousands of miles away from home... Jim, you will always have a palce in my heart! I will never forget you!

I remember how Jim and Donna made me feel so much at home and how hard it was to leave them when I moved to Baltimore.  I had been new in Dayton and had few friends but Donna and Jim's friendship gave me the boost I needed.  I remember how much I admire them as a couple and I became convinced that marital happiness could be possible (And now I know for sure that it is!).  I remember how funny it seemed that I could connect so well with people who were the same age as my mother.  Jim and Donna really didn't seem tied to any one generation; they mixed well with  the young, middle, and old.

Jerry

Have many fond memories of Jim and his siblings and parents.  So sorry he had to have

such a long illness.  My best wishes to you, Donna, and your family.  May God quickly

give you peace in this time.

I was in Jim's class all the way through school.  He was always one of the most outstanding kids in our class.  I remember when he tried to convince us his name was really Lowell Edward; I remember being in plays and music events with him; I remember his nice smile;  I remember a long, deep and serious conversation at one of our early class reunions that meant a lot to me; and I remember a beautiful yellow corduroy blazer he wore our junior year in high school!  He was a great guy!

I remember the cereal joke.
